Your Membership Choices

The Ottawa Orienteering Club offers a variety of membership options. Joining is easy - just click on the option that is best for you

Adult or Family Membership - $20 for the first member, $10 for each additional adult member, $6 for each additional junior* member

Junior* Membership - $10

An adult member of the Ottawa Orienteering Club is any member who is 21 years of age or older as of December 31 of the membership year.

A family membership consists of a combination of adult and junior family members living in the same household. Joining the club as a family is more economical than registering each family member individually.

* A junior member of the Ottawa Orienteering Club is any person who has not reached the age of 21 as of December 31 of the membership year.

Benefits of Membership

As a member of the Ottawa Orienteering Club, you can participate at a reduced cost in all the local B-meets hosted by the Ottawa Orienteering Club and Loup Garou. Your membership also grants you membership in the Canadian Orienteering Federation, (COF) and Orientering Quebec (OQ). As a COF member, you will be eligible to participate in provincial, national, and international orienteering events. You will also be eligible to participate in programs and courses sponsored by the COF and Orientering Quebec.

Your membership in the COF may also entitle you to discounts at events held by other orienteering clubs in Canada and throughout the world, depending upon the policies of those clubs.

As a member of the Ottawa Orienteering Club, you will be eligible to participate in a variety of orienteering activites, including:

  • a full complement of local B-meets in the spring and fall, at reduced cost
  • the popular "Summer Solstice Series" of weekday evening Orienteering at reduced cost
  • certification courses for Officials and for Coaching
  • orienteering clinics and training
  • the opportunity to purchase orienteering equipment and clothing at reduced cost
  • the opportunity to volunteer and become part of a great group of people who share your love of the outdoors
  • the annual year-end party!
