Running Training

This weekly running training session on Wednesday nights is open to all members. The intent is to improve the running speed and fitness of our elite runners and juniors, but the session is open for everyone who is interested in a running work-out.

Although the intent is pure running training such as intervals, hill sprints, running technique, etc. there are often simple technique exercises incorporated in the workouts. Many of the sessions are done with a map in hand, or some exercise forcing you to think orienteering while running. The training is led by our coach extraordinaire, Francis Kawam who is a certified track running coach and is excellent at setting goals and exercises for all levels.

These sessions are at 6pm at Frank Ryan Park, corner of Dundee Ave and Henley Street just south of the Carling/Richmond Road intersection. The group starts from here and often leaves to other venues by 6:15.

Everyone is welcome! Please make every effort to arrive on time.
