The Training Committee coordinates several parts of the club's activities including the Learn-To programs for youth and adults, intermediate and advanced training, outreach for schools, our partnerships with school boards, permanent courses, training coaches, and more.

 

We are looking for a few more members to help with organizing or just supporting some of our program efforts. For example, we have a plan for the efforts this winter to ensure that the Learn-To programs start successfully in April. Help from you might be with promotion, web page content, setting up the info sessions, etc. We have the background from previous years to help you get started. 

 

We are also looking for people available during school hours to help with Outreach activities. These are held at schools around the Ottawa area. A simple course will be set by an experienced club member and  your role would be to help with basic instructions on the map, use of the SI, getting the students started on the course, and perhaps picking up controls.
