The Middle and Long events of Ottawa O-Fest 2018 and the Ontario Orienteering Championships will be held at Ski Vorlage, in Wakefield Quebec. The Middle courses will be mostly on the Vorlage property; the Long courses will be both in Gatineau Park and in Vorlage. The portion of Gatineau Park being used is our Riviere Lapeche (or P17) map, newly updated for 2018. The Vorlage map was new last year and has only been used for a Rogaine event.
Extra Activities
KidZone
We will once again offer the youngsters amongst us an opportunity to spend some time in the KidZone where they will receive a special O-Fest KidZone Passport and where they can try out maze-orienteering, a string-O course, some outdoor lawn games and some orienteering puzzles! While this is not a babysittting service, it is a great place to keep future orienteers entertained!
Food Options
There will be food for sale at the Vorlage Arena for the Middle and Long events. Walking Tacos will be there to offer us a range of yummy looking foods. Cash only, so make sure to bring some lunch money. He will be at Vorlage approximately Saturday 12:30 - 4:30 and Sunday 11:30 - 3:30.
On Monday, at Parc Moussette, there will be no food for sale on site. However, there are plenty of food options, including fast food vendors, stores and restaurants, within a short walk of the race arena.

Orienteering Vendors
O-store.ca will be set up in the 'arena' throughout the day on both Saturday and Sunday. The O-Store is the only specialty orienteering store in Canada and has a wide range of orienteering shoes, clothing, compasses, control description holders, SPORTident timing sticks, safety and bifocal magnfiying glasses, and everything else you need for orienteering. They also provide equipment for clubs and race services. Please note that the O-Store will NOT be set up at the Sprint event on Monday.
