Orienteering is usually done on foot, but can be done on skis, snowshoes, or mountain bike. Orienteering can be as extreme, or as leisurely, as you like

Canadian Orienteering Championships
The Canadian Championships are coming soon to Halifax, NS.
With 40 members of Orienteering Ottawa competing, we are looking for some great results.
Ten of our member participants are on the National team or development squads.

Learn-to-O Fall Registration
Registration is now open for the 2026 Fall Learn-to programs.
Join in on this new format for the fall programmming. The sessions will include a 15 minute instruction on the basics of orienteering followed by a 45 minute Score-O in the nearby park land to practice the skills learned.
Summer Solstice 2026
Our 2026 Summer Solstice Series concluded Tuesday night with some 80+ folks joining us for their run on the combined maps of Vincent Massey and Carleton University.
Following the event and a pizza party the top 10 runners of the series were awarded prizes of amazing cookies from Cookies by Christine picturing a compass, a map snippet of Vincent Massey and an orienteering flag. Thank you Christine for your remarkable talent.

World Orienteering Championships
This year the sprint world championships will be held in Genova, Italy from July 7-11. There will be an individual sprint, a knock-out sprint (qualifier and finals), and a sprint relay. The Canadian team is :

The cost to participate starts at $14 for an adult. Discounts are available for children, families, groups and club members.
We also hold a free Mini Introduction to Orienteering clinic at our regular Sunday events.
